Japan to Use DNA Tests

Glitch in Food Safety Bill

A - technical glitch - has been found in the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act which could cause problems. A section of S.510 addresses money which the House considers to be a tax. By law, taxes must originate only in the U.S. House.  Read more...


Senate Passes Food Safety Act

Tuesday, the U.S. Senate passed the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act by a vote of 73 to 25. S. 510 must now be reconciled with the House version of the food safety reforms by the end of the lame-duck session.
