(Hillsboro)--The Hillsboro Board of Education held a special meeting Tuesday night. The board of education approved to request sealed bids for the sale of the Witt School Building. Litchfield and Hillsboro Receives Settlement

(Hillsboro)--The City of Litchfield and Hillsboro have received their portion of a 105 million dollar atrazine class action settlement. According to Litchfield City Hall, the city received over two hundred and ten thousand dollars in the settlement. The City of Hillsboro received just over three hundred thousand dollars. Read more...

(Raymond)--The Raymond Harvel Fire Protection District were called to a house fire Sunday afternoon in Harvel. According to Wayne Angle, firefighters were called at three Sunday afternoon to the two hundred block of Monroe. Twenty six firefighters were on the scene until 9 Sunday evening. Read more...
Student‘s Cause of Death Unknown

An investigation into the death of a Blackburn College student continues. 24 year old Joshua Ramza of Romeoville was found dead in his dorm room Saturday afternoon and pronounced dead at 3:20pm. An autopsy conducted on Monday was unable to identify any immediate cause of death. Read more...
Irving Woman Killed In A Roll Over Accident

(Irving)--An Irving woman was killed in a single vehicle accident Friday afternoon along Walshville Trail. According to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, 911 received a call about a vehicle overturned in a creek below a bridge. An autopsy will be conducted today on the body of a Blackburn College student who was found dead Saturday afternoon. According to Macoupin County Coroner, Brad Targhetta, 24 year old Joshua Ramza of Romeoville, Illinois was found dead Saturday in his residence hall room on the campus. Read more...

(Hillsboro)--Montgomery County Clerk and Recorder Sandy Leitheiser announced Montgomery counties vital records for 2012. According to Leitheiser, births in the county were down slightly from 2011.
