The man who shot himself after he allegedly shot and wounded three people in Taylorville Monday morning has died. Lee Wayne Kennedy was pronounced dead at 12:33 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, according to Sangamon County Coroner Cinda Edwards.  Read more...

At their meeting Wednesday evening, the Macoupin-Montgomery County Crimestoppers authorized a payment for a tip leading to the discovery of a gun on Hillsboro High School grounds last week. Council Approves Police Transmission Repair

At the meeting, which began at 7:30 p.m., the council approved the repair of a police department vehicle transmission at Curt's Towing.
