Two Springfield women were arrested Monday afternoon after threatening a prison guard in Hillsboro. According to Hillsboro Police Chief Randy Leetham, Shantel Williams, 47, was arrested for Aggravated Battery to an Illinois Department of Corrections Officer, and Sunte Kelleybrew, 27, was arrested for Aggravated Assault.  Read more...

Double Homicide in Rockbridge

Two brothers from Rockbridge were victims in a double homicide Sunday night in Rockbridge. According to Illinois State Police Zone 6 Investigations, 55 year old Ronald Plummer and 54 year old Billy Plummer both of Rockbridge were pronounced dead by the Greene County Coroners office after the incident at 585 State Road.  Read more...

Federal Authorities Arrest Convicted Sex Offender in Hillsboro

A man who had recently taken up residence in Hillsboro was arrested by U.S. Marshals Wednesday morning after failing to register as a sex offender.
