Harvest Moving Fast

Thu, 16 Sep 2010 5:36:21 CDT
Harvest moving fast in the area. Pioneer Agronomist Kelli Bassett will join Rita on the Farm Show today to talk about corn yields and about the smaller ear sizes that have shown up in corn fields across Central Illinois this harvest season. Kelli will also discuss early soybean numbers, as a few producers have moved over to their soybean fields to begin cutting what is hoped to be better than expected bean crop.
Also, today on the Noon Farm Show WSMI‘s Rita Frazer will be talking to David Hebert of Owaneco, Illinois. The Hebert‘s celebrated the expansion of their Beef Operation with an Open House Tuesday night. Rita spoke on-farm with David about their family farm and about how their new hoop structure will help them grow into the future.
