Program to Help Improve Home Energy Efficiency

Hillsboro, Ill. – How are your energy costs looking this summer? University of Illinois Extension and C.E.F.S. Economic Opportunity Corporation will host a Landscaping for Energy-Efficient Homes seminar on September 25. Topics will include managing household energy usage and planning a well-designed landscape to reduce lighting, heating, and cooling costs.
Thinking about your energy costs, but not sure what steps you can take for improvement? The seminar will help you to improve your home energy efficiency, learn simple, inexpensive ways to achieve cost savings, and determine the best energy efficient landscaping practices. Seminar participants will also have the opportunity to win a $25 electric bill credit.
This program will take place at University of Illinois Extension (#1 Industrial Park Drive) in Hillsboro, Illinois, on Wednesday, September 25. The program will start at 10:00 a.m. and will conclude at 11:30 a.m. Registration is free but required by September 23 to receive a free home energy conservation kit.
