Soil and Water Management Seminar

Soil and water interactions will be the focus of a Soil and Water Seminar sponsored by the University of Illinois Extension on Thursday, February 20. The seminar will be held at the Macoupin County Extension Office in Carlinville. There will be a Power Point presentation and web conference from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Certified Crop Advisors will receive 4.5 continuing units in Soil and Water Management by attending this seminar.
Topics to be discussed include, extreme weather and potential soil impacts, controlled CRP burns and soil quality, irrigation water use reporting
in field drainage management using control structures, and field research on cover crops and soil quality.
Registration is $45 per person, which includes lunch. Registration deadline in Friday, February 14, and can be done online at extension.illinois.edu/cjmm or by calling 854-9604.
