"When There's Smoke, There's Fire" Cook-Off

The Benld Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting their 1st Annual "When There's Smoke, There's Fire" Cook-off on Saturday, October 13th at the Benld City Park. The Cook-off will host two separate contests: a brisket smoke-off and a four category chicken wing challenge. Team Space is limited



Brisket team competitors must sign in between 4 and 8am. Briskets will be handed out beginning at 4am on the day of the event. No electric cookers are allowed. Each team will be provided with a 12' by 20' area for cooking. An untrimmed 10 to 14 pound brisket will be provided to each team. One pound will be submitted for judging with remaining brisket being turned into event organizers following judging.
