House Explosion in Worden

(Worden)--Authorities are investigating an house explosion that happened Thursday morning on Possum Hill Road, west of Worden. The Madison County Sheriff's Office says the department received calls about the explosion around 1am.

Investigators say there was no one inside the home when it exploded, and no injuries were reported. Authorities believe the house was vacant at the time, and was under renovation. There was no sign of criminal activity at the scene. The Illinois State Fire Marshall's Office is continuing its investigation.
