Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Arrest

(Hillsboro)--A Decatur man faces various drug related charges following a traffic stop Monday. According to Illinois State Police, a vehicle driven by 58 year old Clarence Barbee was stopped in the northbound lanes of Interstate 55 near mile marker 61.
The initial stop was for an obstructed windshield. Following an investigation, a quarter pound of cannabis was seized.
Barbee was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license, possession of cannabis, and possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver. He was taken to Montgomery County Jail, where bond has been set at forty thousand dollars.
