Panhandle School Receives Spotlight Award

(Carlinville)--The Panhandle School District along with 12 other school districts in Montgomery, Macoupin, Christian, Jersey, and Madison Counties were named to the 2012 Illinois Honor Roll.
The Panhandle School District received the Spotlight Award for the Farmersville Elementary School. The Spotlight Award honors high performing schools that are beating the odds by overcoming the achievement gap.
The 2012 Illinois Honor Roll honored 624 schools in the state. It is divided up into three categories: Spotlight Schools, Academic Excellence; and Academic Improvement.
Other districts honored include: The Carlinville School District received the Spotlight and Improvement Award for the Carlinville Primary School; and the Taylorville School District received the Spotlight Award for the North Elementary School.
