Two Hillsboro residents were arrested Monday for obstructing a peace officer.
On Monday, Hillsboro Police took a report of a missing/runaway 13-year old girl. She had not returned home from staying with a friend and did not attend school that day. She was suspected to be at a friend's residence on Long Avenue. An officer went to that location and was told the girl was not there. Continuing the investigation, the officer checked several different locations and was told she was at the friend's residence on Long Avenue and that the occupants were hiding her from the police.
The second trip to the residence resulted in the location of the missing juvenile, and two people were arrested. Megan Aumiller, 35, was cited and released with a notice to appear for obstructing a peace officer. Jacob Bourke, 19, was arrested and taken to the Montgomery County Jail where he was booked for obstructing a peace officer.
