Ohlman Man Dies in ATV Accident

An Ohlman man was pronounced dead Sunday evening following an ATV accident south of Ohlman.
Tyler Inman, 22, was pronounced dead at 11:41 p.m. Sunday, after being found trapped underneath an ATV he was driving. He was found on Raccoon Trail north of New Bethel Avenue in Montgomery County by the Nokomis Fire Department and Nokomis-Witt Area Ambulance.
Authorities were dispatched after a person who called 911 stated that an off-road vehicle had rolled over onto its top off the side of the roadway, trapping a person underneath the vehicle. According to the Montgomery County Coroner's office, the ATV Inman was driving allegedly struck a downed tree on the side of the road, sending the vehicle out of control and into a ravine. Inman was ejected from the vehicle before it landed on him.
The victim was taken to Springfield Memorial Medical Center for an autopsy. The accident remains under investigation. Assisting at the scene were the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office and Fillmore Fire Department.
