HSHS Saint Francis Hospital in Litchfield is conducting a nationwide search for a new president and CEO following Monday's resignation of Kevin Seely.
Chief Nursing Officer John Peipert will serve as the interim president and CEO while a national search is being conducted for a permanent replacement. EJ Kuiper, who is the president and CEO of the HSHS Central Illinois Division, will also provide support to the leadership team.
"St. Francis Hospital is such an important part of the Litchfield community, and we have a great team that takes pride in our mission of caring for patients and families in their times of need," Kuiper said in a statement released Monday. "We look forward to finding a new top leader for this hospital who shares the same passion and pride."
Seely was appointed as president and CEO on October 18, 2017. He began serving in the position on December 3, after replacing Patti Fischer, who is now the Chief Operating Officer of HSHS Saint John's Hospital in Springfield.
