Alton Man Arrested for Allegedly Making Terrorist Threat

An Alton man was arrested Friday for allegedly making a terrorist threat to a local community college.
Last Tuesday, at 7:36 a.m., an unknown person called the Alton Police stating that “someone was going to shoot up Lewis and Clark Community College” that day. The Madison County Sheriff's Office was notified, and they immediately contacted officials with the school.
On Friday, Mintai Bedford, 32, was apprehended during a traffic stop and arrested for the Class X felony of Making a Terrorist Threat. He is being held at the Madison County Jail, and bond as been set at $150,000.
