Litchfield to Offer Brush Pick-up

Thu, 07 Nov 2019 09:24:57 CST

The city of Litchfield is reminding residents that they will be offering brush pickup next week, weather permitting.

Pickup will begin on Tuesday, Nov. 12, in Ward 1 and progress through each ward accordingly. Staff will make a single pass on each street. Once they pass, they will not return.

Residents interested in participating are asked to have their brush out at the boulevard by 7a.m. on Tuesday. Yard waste, big logs, whole trees, limbs or any trees or limbs cut down by a contractor will not be picked up.

Brush may also be dropped off any time at the re-located City burn area. The area is now located off Yaeger Lake Trail driving east toward the Lake. There is a sign that reads “Burn Area” where residents will turn south and continue to follow the additional signage. The drive is on the south side of the road before reaching Park Road. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Anyone with questions or needing clarification regarding brush pick-up is encouraged to call 324-5253.
