Several law enforcement agencies are participating in a special training exercise at the Carlinville High School on Tuesday, June 5, and Wednesday, June 6, from 8am until 4pm each day.

According to Macoupin County Sheriff Shawn Kahl, an "active shooter" threat will be the focus of the training. Law enforcement, fire departements, EMS and medical helicopters will all be participating.

The public is advised that this is only training and there is no actual threat at the Carlinville High School. It is requested that the public stay clear of the area of training operations.
