(Witt)--The Montgomery County Coroner's Office, and Sheriff's Office are investigating the death of a twenty month old infant Tuesday morning in Witt. According to Montgomery County Coroner Rick Broaddus, Montgomery County 911 received a phone call of a young child that had fallen into a well at a residence on Hillside Avenue in Witt.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, Nokomis-Witt Ambulance Service, and Witt Fire Department responded to the scene. Twenty month old Lia Marie Bertolino was transported to Hillsboro Area Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The incident remains under investigation.
