(Hillsboro)--The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a 27 year old Taylor Springs man. According to the Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a residence Sunday afternoon in the two hundred block of Montgomery Street in Taylor Springs. Upon the arrival, the body of 27 year old Kyle Harrell was found. Harrell was pronounced dead at the scene by the Montgomery County Coroner's Office.

A preliminary investigation indicated that Harrell may of died from an suspected overdose of heroin. The investigation also resulted in the arrest of 26 year old Jeffrey Degg of Hillsboro. Degg was charged with possession of heroin. He is currently begin held in the Montgomery County jail in lieu of fifteen thousand dollars bond. An investigation is still ongoing by the Montgomery County Sheriff's and Coroners Office.
