(Litchfield)--One person was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident Sunday morning on Route 127, south of North 3rd Avenue. According to Illinois State Police, a motorcycle driven by 28 year old Nathan Pinnel of Morrisonville traveled off Route 127, and struck a ditch.

Pinnel was ejected from the motorcycle. He was taken by ambulance to Hillsboro Area Hosptial then airlifted by ARCH helicopter to St. John's Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Pinnel was cited with operation of an uninsured motor vehicle.
