Four People Arrested Following Investigation

(Hillsboro)--Four people face various drug related charges following their arrest Wednesday afternoon in Schram City and Butler. Accoridng to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, the arrests were a result of a three month investigation by the South Central Illinois Drug Task Force.

A traffic stop on Miller Avenue in Schram City resulted in the arrest of 30 year old Paul Lovins Jr. of Butler on a warrant and other charges. Lovins was wanted for the delivery of a controlled substance. During the search of the vehicle, suspected cocaine belonging to Lovins was seized. He was also charged with possession of cocaine. The driver of the vehicle, 42 year old Eric Butler of Hillsboro, was also taken into custody for the possession of a controlled substance.

Sheriff's Deputies and the South Central Illinois Drug Task Force also conducted a search of the residence of Lovins and 41 year old Paul Kampmann of Butler. The searches resulted to additional arrests and the seizure of over fifteen grams of cocaine, cannabis, over one thousand dollars in cash, video surveillance equipment, and a large screen television.

41 year old Paul Kampmann was taken into custody for calculated drug conspiracy, possession of cocaine over fifteen grams, and possession of cannabis of more than ten grams but less than thirty.

23 year old Amber Jones, also from Butler, was arrested and charged with calculated criminal conspiracy, criminal fortification of a building, and child endangerment.

All four are in the custody at the Montgomery County Jail pending formal charges.
