A Greene County man was killed in a single vehicle accident Thursday morning in Greene County.

According to Illinois State Police, 28 year old Dustin Smith of Roodhouse was driving a 2008 Pontiac G6 westbound on the Roodhouse Blacktop when the vehicle left the road, skidded back across the roadway, traveled into a ditch, went airborne and the driver was ejected from the vehicle at 2:43am.

Smith was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
