(Litchfield)--A Litchfield woman has been selected as the 2013 Illinoisian of the Day. According to Anne Jackson from the Litchfield Museum and Route 66 Welcome Center Association, Martha Jackson has been selected by the Illinois State Fair Museum Foundation for the honor. Jackson is receiving the recognition as an individual who makes a difference in her community and shows true Illinois spirit through her work and dedication to help others.

The announcement was made at the Illinois State Corndog Kickoff and Pickle Banquet. A formal announcement and presentation will be made at the Illinois State Fair on August 9th at the Fairgrounds in Springfield.
