(Taylor Springs)--The Montgomery County Cancer Association held their 9th annual Celebration of Life and Birthday Party Saturday evening at the KC Hall in Taylor Springs. During the evening it was announced that the Association raised 160 thousand dollars.
Area teams were also honored during Saturday's celebration. Special Mention Awards went to Heritage Health of Litchfield captained by Dawn Elliot, First National Bank of Litchfield captained by Mary Beth Taylor, and the We Are Family Team captained by Connie Wernsing.
The Meritorious Award went to the Home Run Against Cancer Team captained by Judy Williams and Mike Cereutti.
The Brilliance Award went to Team Rehab Edge captained by Dr. John Mekala.
The Excellence Awards went to Team Ethan's Angels captained by Kay Lee.
The Superior Awards went to Team Fishing For a Cure captained by Deb Kious, The Herschel Lipe Family Team captained by Shawna Lipe, The Our Gang Team captained by Brenda Cobetto and Linda Klotz, The Banking On A Cure Team captained by Tracy White, The Chicks For A Cure Team captained by Shelley Halleman, and Pam Johnson Meyers.
The Top Team Award winner went to team Stamp Out Cancer captained by Zach Wygal and Leslie Pollard. The team raised 40 thousand dollars this year. Combined the all of the teams raised 113 thousand dollars for the association.
