A Taylorville woman was injured in an automobile accident on Route 48 Wednesday afternoon.

According to the State Police, Evelyn Sisco, 82, was traveling north on Route 48, approximately one mile south of the Taylorville Airport, when her car left the road and overturned in the ditch. The reason for the car leaving the roadway is unknown at this time.

Sisco was transported to Memorial Medical Center in Springfield and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The Taylorville Fire Department, Sutton Ambulance, and Christian County Sheriff's Department assisted at the scene.
