The Greene County Health Department, in cooperation with Boyd Healthcare Services, Knights of Columbus, Lions Clubs of Greene County, Greene County Farm Bureau, Gable Family Pharmacy and Pharmacy Plus, is sponsoring a Health Fair for people of all ages on Wednesday, March 29, from 7:00am until Noon at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Route 67 in Carrollton.

Over 40 different screenings and informational displays with free promotional materials will be offered, including free blood pressure, blood sugar test and hearing and vision screening.

Boyd Healthcare Services Lab will be available from 7:00am until Noon for blood testing. Clients will need to go to Boyd Hospital Lab to pick up test results about 1-3 weeks after the blood testing is done. Fees for some the testing and services being offered are as follows:

Coronary Risk Profile $20.00 (fasting preferred - nothing to eat for at least 8 hous before test)

A1C $20.00; Prostate Cancer Screening $15.00; Hemogram $15.00; Thyroid Testing $15.00 and a Colon Cancer Screening take-home kit $6.00.

There will be several door prizes given away.

The sponsors welcom Greene County residents, as well as out-of-county residents to participate in the Greene County Health Fair at no charge.
