A Springfield woman has died from injuries sustained in a two vehicle accident that occured Tuesday, December 5 between Auburn and Chatham.

According to Cinda Edwards, Sangamon County Coroner, 73 year old Irinda Gregory died at 2:47pm Wednesday in Memorial Medical Center.

Illinois State police reported the accident happened around 5:10pm on Tuesday on Rt. 4 when a vehicle driven by 65 year old Teresa Gray of Virden crossed over the centerline and struck the Gregory vehicle.

A correction to the orginal report was made by Coroner Edwards who stated a four year old child orginally reported in the Gregory vehicle as actually in the Gray vehicle.

Teresa Gray and the 4 year old were both transported to area hospitals.
