At their meeting Wednesday evening, the Macoupin-Montgomery County Crimestoppers authorized a payment for a tip leading to the discovery of a gun on Hillsboro High School grounds last week.
Hillsboro police investigated and discovered a gun in a vehicle in the high school parking lot. One person was apprehended and turned over to school administration. Crimestoppers awarded a payment of $400 for the tip.
Crimestoppers also approved a $350 payment to a person who provided information about a woman wanted on drug warrants, and who was allegedly involved in a burglary. The subject was arrested by Hillsboro Police on February 22, and was taken to the Montgomery County Jail.
