Scholarship Available at Montgomery County Sheriff's Office

Montgomery County Sheriff Rick Robbins has announced that the Illinois Sheriff's Association will be awarding a $750 scholarship to a student in the county.

Eligible students must be permanent Illinois residents, scholarships must be utilized at institutions of higher learning within the state, and students must be enrolled as full-time students during the 2019-2020 school year, excluding the summer session. Scholarships are to be applied to tuition, books and fees only.

Applications are now available at the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office or online at Students must complete the application, answer the essay question and return all documentation to the sheriff's office by Mar. 15.

Anyone who would like more information about the scholarship may contact the sheriff's office, the Illinois Sheriff's Association, high school advising center or college financial aid office.
