The Hillsboro City Council will discuss accommodating a pair of special events during their meeting on Tuesday.

Items on the agenda include:
1. Nancy Slepicka from Imagine Hillsboro to address the council on proposed rules for the dog park
2. Discussion/Decision on a motion to approve closing Main Street from Tilson Street to Wood Street for the Fall Festival, to be held on Saturday, October 5
3. Discussion/Decision on a motion to approve the Hillsboro Dragon Cheer Back-to-School 5K, to be held on Saturday, August 17
4. Discussion/Decision on a motion to expand liquor sales hours for the Old Settlers Car Show, Old Settlers and the Harvest Festival
5. Discussion/Decision on a motion to approve purchasing a used squad car and a mobile radio for the police department
6. Discussion/Decision on a motion to approve purchasing two new tires for the street department backhoe
7. Discussion/Decision on a motion on sewer and water line maintenance.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at Hillsboro City Hall.
