A Missouri man was killed Tuesday evening when the motorcycle he was driving crashed near Farmersville.

Menno Yoder of Wright City was pronounced dead at the scene by the Montgomery County Coroner. He was 58.

According to the Illinois State Police, Yoder's motorcycle was on the northbound entrance ramp to Interstate 55 from Mine Avenue at 9:33 p.m. The bike failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway and slid into the ditch, ejecting Yoder from the vehicle.

Investigators said Yoder was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident. No further information is being made available at this time.
