A utility pole along North Road north of Hillsboro had to be replaced on Monday, July 1, after a vehicle crashed into it late Sunday.

According to Montgomery County Sheriff Rick Robbins, Christopher Hamby was driving north on North Road at 11:14 p.m. on June 30, when his truck left the roadway and struck the pole. The 42-year-old Hillsboro resident was cited for driving too fast for conditions and for not wearing a seatbelt.
