There has been concern about Christmas gatherings adding to the ongoing surge of the Omicron variant of Covid 19 as well as the ongoing Delta variant.  The latest numbers from Montgomery County show a post Christmas surge.  There were 151 new cases of Covid reported between Christmas Eve and Tuesday.  35 cases were reported over Christmas and Christmas Eve.  The number dropped to 4 the day after Christmas.  Then 42 new cases were confirmed on Monay with 70 more on Tuesday.  The full vaccination rate for Montgomery County stands at 47.26 percent.
