LOCATION: Illinois Route 16 westbound at Seven Sisters Avenue, Montgomery County

DATE and TIME:  Sept. 5, 2022 at approximately 3:46 p.m.   

BRIEF SYNOPSIS:  ISP District 18 Troopers responded to the above location for a t single unit motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.  Preliminary reports indicate the Witt Police Department was attempting to stop a motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed. The motorcycle passed several vehicles and failed to negotiate a curve striking a guardrail. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased on the scene.  No further information is available at this time.
