The lunch crowd was disappointed to learn the Lodge on Main in Hillsboro was closed today, but that disappointment should be a very short term issue.

When you say location, location, location for business, you usually think of high traffic count and bringing in more customers.  For the Lodge on Main today, location, location, location is all about being just a few blocks from the Hillsboro Fire Dept.  Firefighters were called to the former Moose Lodge this morning when a freezer caught fire.  There was no fire damage to the building and fortunately in these times of high food costs, the freezer was already cleaned out and waiting to be repaired.  Owner Jim Hewitt described the Hillsboro FIre Dept response as amazing.   He hopes to have the Lodge open again as soon as tomorrow (Saturday Dec 14).
