Deadline Friday to Buy Hillsboro Health Bricks

As Hillsboro Health continues to grow and modernize its facilities, the Hillsboro Health Foundation is reminding community members that time is running out to take part in its Engraved Brick and Paver Campaign, which has been extended through June 5, 2026.

The campaign gives individuals, families and businesses a chance to leave a lasting mark on their community hospital. Engraved bricks and pavers will be placed at the hospital’s new front entrance, currently under construction, offering a meaningful way to honor loved ones, recognize caregivers or commemorate a personal connection to the hospital.

Donation options include:

  • 4x8 brick: $250

  • 8x8 brick: $1,000

  • 12x12 limestone paver: $2,500

  • 16x16 limestone paver: $5,000

The project is part of a broader effort to update and expand hospital facilities, and construction is ongoing across several areas of Hillsboro Health. Renovations to the front lobby and patient drop-off canopy are underway and are expected to reopen in September, providing a more accessible and welcoming entrance for patients and visitors.

In addition, a new free-standing medical office building is also set to open in September. The building will house new urology services and the pain management clinic, helping bring more specialized care closer to home. The hospital is also adding a new outpatient surgery wing, scheduled to open in spring 2027, which will expand surgical capacity and modernize existing spaces.

These improvements come at a time when Hillsboro Health has received national recognition for its performance. The hospital was recently named one of the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals in the country for Best Practices in Patient Satisfaction, highlighting its commitment to providing care that patients trust and recommend.

“This recognition shows the dedication of our team members and the trust of the community we serve,” said CEO Michael Alexander. “At the same time, we are continuing to invest in our future. These projects will allow us to bring more health care services to our community and ensure patients can receive high-quality care close to home.”

Alexander added that the Brick and Paver Campaign is one way the community can be part of that future.

“Each brick and paver represents a connection to this hospital and the people it serves,” he said. “It’s an opportunity for individuals and families to leave something lasting while supporting the continued growth of local health care.”

The deadline has been extended to June 5, 2026. Community members, businesses or organizations interested in participating in the campaign can visit www.hillsborohealth.org or contact Diane Clark at 217-532-4187 or dclark@hhealth.us
