One person is dead after a structure explosion west of Girard.  Before 7pm last night, 911 was contacted .  Girard Fire and Rescue and Prairieland Ambulance rushed to the scene.  A male victim found with significant injuries, was  airlifted from scene and  transported to a Springfield hospital, where he died shortly afterwards.   There is no further information at this point.
