Road Closure Notice: Portions of Red Ball Trail will be closed for road oiling on Tuesday, August 4th, starting at approximately 7:30 A.M. and will continue until operations are complete.  Please plan alternate routes.

The Gillespie Methodist women fall rummage sale is Thursday Aug 6th from 3 to 6 with a $3 early bird admission,  Friday from 9 to 1 and Saturday fill a bag from 9 to noon. 900 Broadway a great place to get nice items at a very reasonable price for back to school. Food also available for purchase.

“Back 2 Mac”, an effort to provide school supplies for at need students in North Mac Schools, will be held on Saturday, August 8th from 9-11 AM at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Virden. It will be a drive-through pick-up event. 
 
North Mac parents who are needing help with the purchase of supplies are encouraged to sign-up their students now by clicking a link on the North Mac or Girard Chamber of Commerce websites.  Or you can also pick up a registration form from the “Back 2 Mac” mailbox located in front of Steve O'Dell's Country Companies Insurance office on the north side of the Virden Square. Once completed, you can drop the form in the mailbox. Deadline to sign up is Friday, July 31st. 

Any business, organization, or individual that wants to donate or know more about this event and how they can help should call 217-415-1354. Registrations will not be accepted
