73-year-old John Curtis Van Giesen II of Hillsboro, passed away on Monday September 9th.    He was a proud Veteran of the US Navy. He served from 1969-1978, during the time of the Vietnam War.  Private family services will be held at a later date.  Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
