88-year-old Lawrence “Speed” Beaty of Taylorville passed away on Sunday, August 10.  A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, August 14,  at 11:00 a.m. at St. Maurice Catholic Church in Morrisonville.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 13 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Perfetti-Assalley Funeral Home in Morrisonville.   Interment will follow the Funeral Mass at St. Maurice Cemetery.
