93-year-old Alice DeRight Kern of Hillsboro passed away on Sunday, April 5.  Alice was an avid golfer.  During her many years of being a member of the Hillsboro County Club, she reigned as club champion.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 2 at 11:30 am at Hough-Dean Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held from  9:30 – 11:30 am at Hough-Dean Funeral Home.  A private graveside service will be held on Sunday, May 3.
